Design updates in AGM Container Controls' range of two-way pressure & vacuum pressure relief valves include the TA333-R Breather Valve, which is weather-shielded for long-term shipping or storage containers where worldwide environmental & weather variations are encountered, & the low-cost TA238 Breather Valve, which has a perforated metal cover suitable for transit cases or other applications not facing such conditions.
Both tamper-proof models feature recessed manual release push buttons that equalize pressure or vacuum differentials, use corrosion-resistant materials throughout & require no field maintenance. They protect encased equipment from the effects of moisture & pressure/vacuum differentials due to temperature &/or altitude changes by effectively providing "controlled breathing" & automatically adjusting container pressure.
The TA333-R Breather Valve's weather-shielding cover & dust baffle give unique protection against sand, dust & water intrusion into the container or enclosure. It has separate & distinct settings for both pressure & vacuum relief & is suitable for containers up to 33 ft³ in volume, as well as for electronic or other sealed enclosures. Standard settings are available from 0.5 psid to 3.0 psid reseal pressure & flow rate ranges from 1.5 to 4.0 scfm at 1.5 psi above the valve reseal setting.
The TA238 Breather Valve fills the need for a low-cost unit with a perforated metal cover, but higher flow than previous similar models. It can be used on transit cases & similar applications up to 33 ft³, has a flow rate of 4.0 scfm & is available in settings from 0.5 psi to 5.0 psi.
These low-pressure high-flow valves meet SAE Specification AS27166 & are available with RFI/EMI shielding. Their manual release buttons feature a unique light-duty spring under the cover, separating the button from the vacuum stem, which must be overcome before the button opens the valve.
The TA333-R is supplied with a gasket, washer & hex nut. A weldable nut is available for use as a threaded boss & the valve may also be used with a mounting flange. The TA238 comes with an o-ring gasket & hex nut.
